Who we are

Aimee Butler, MS, CNS-Candidate

Aimee has completed her Master’s degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health, with a concentration in herbal medicine. She is currently gaining supervised clinical experience while working toward board certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and plans to begin working toward Registered Herbalist (RH) credentials through the American Herbalists Guild. She views her work in nutrition and herbal medicine as a long-held calling rooted in a deep interest in human physiology and the mechanisms that influence healing and disease. After beginning her career in accounting, she recognized that her natural strengths lie in analytical, systems-oriented problem-solving — an approach that aligns closely with clinical nutrition.

Aimee enjoys helping people navigate cardiovascular risk factors, blood sugar imbalances, and digestive concerns, and she is passionate about exploring the connection between nutrition and mental health. She is especially drawn to working with individuals who may be less likely to seek preventive or integrative care.

When she is not working, Aimee enjoys teaching ballet barre, hiking and camping, listening to music, and spending time with her husband and their pets.

Why Wonder City Wellness?

Wonder City Wellness takes its name from Hopewell, Virginia, the community where I live and practice. Following a devastating fire in 1915, Hopewell rebuilt with remarkable resilience and came to be known as the “Wonder City.”

That spirit of resilience is part of what inspired the name Wonder City Wellness. Health is not about perfection or avoiding every challenge life brings. It is about understanding the many factors that influence our health, supporting the body's ability to adapt and recover, and identifying the changes that can help us move toward greater health and function.
